Prison sucks, and there are families that live hours upon hours away from their incarcerated loved ones. The reality is most people that live in jails and prison facilities do not have a ton of support, so those that are blessed to have someone from the community in their lives are really rare.
To complicate the scarcity of family and friend connections, the cost of staying in contact with someone in prison is REALLY high. Phone systems have always charged egregious rates and found innovative ways to prey on families. And with prison systems remaining concerned about incoming mail being cluttered with contraband, there are more and more technologies that have followed in the old phone system's bad practices. This is why we originally launched Flikshop...to help families stay connected during one of the hardest times of their lives, easily and affordably.

In fact, it's not enough for us to make Flikshop Credits affordable.
