Flikshop offers Photo Postcards, Photo Prints, and Letters for DC facilities, all formatted to comply with DC DOC Policy PS 4070.4F. Each uses pre-printed stamp (no adhesive stamps that can be flagged).

Please understand the DC Department of Corrections Mail Policy Rules.  DC DOC still delivers physical mail. Knowing these rules ensures your Flikshop reaches your loved one without delay or rejection.

  • Physical Mail Is AllowedLetters and approved publications are accepted through USPS with no limit on how much mail a resident can receive. Flikshop Postcards, Prints, and Letters all qualify.
     

  • Addressing Requirements. Mail must include the resident's name, DCDC number, and facility address. CDF: 1901 D Street SE, Washington, DC 20003. CTF: 1901 E Street SE, Washington, DC 20003. Flikshop prompts you for the correct DCDC number at checkout.
     

  • Standard photos are permitted. No Polaroids, plastic backed photos, or photos that are glued, taped, stapled, or attached to a page. Flikshop Postcards are printed directly on cardstock and meet these requirements.
     

  • Photos containing nudity, sexual content, cash, alcohol, drugs, violence, gang imagery, weapons, terrorist activity, or crime scenes are prohibited. Flikshop's AI screens every photo before printing.
     

  • Only paper envelopes are accepted. Padded and bubble wrap envelopes are not permitted. Flikshop ships postcards in compliant paper mailers.
     

  • DC DOC provides written notice to both the sender and resident when mail is rejected.
     

  • Flikshop Works best in DC! Founded in Washington, DC by a returning citizen, Flikshop follows DC DOC mail policies and designs every mailing to comply with PS 4070.4F for successful delivery.
