Please understand the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (PADOC) Mail Policy Rules. Pennsylvania has specific rules for how mail reaches incarcerated residents. Understanding the basics helps make sure your Flikshop gets through the first time. Here's what you need to know.
All Pensylvania Department of Corrections state institutions goes through a central processing address, where it is scanned and printed before delivery. Flikshop handles this addressing automatically on every order.

Your mail is delivered as a physical copy. Your photos and messages are printed and delivered to your loved one as a real, physical copy they can keep and read anytime.

No stickers or decorative items. Avoid including stickers, glitter, tape, or other adhesive items. Flikshop postcards are produced without prohibited materials, helping prevent mailroom delays.

Correct addressing matters. Include your loved one's full name, inmate number, and complete facility name. Flikshop formats every Pennsylvania address correctly during checkout.

Send up to 25 photos. Pennsylvania allows up to 25 photos in a single mailing. Photos must be loose, printed on standard photo paper, and cannot be Polaroids, clipped, or stapled. Flikshop postcards are designed to meet these requirements.

Use appropriate content. Photos or messages containing nudity, explicit content, gang imagery, or other prohibited material may be rejected. Flikshop reviews images before printing to help reduce delivery issues.

Books and publications follow different rules. Books, magazines, and other publications are processed separately from personal mail and must follow Pennsylvania DOC publication requirements. Photo books must be sent separately to the PA DOC Security Processing Center at 268 Bricker Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823. Flikshop Postcards and Letters go to the main address above.

Legal mail is handled separately. Legal correspondence is not processed the same way as personal mail and must be sent directly to the correctional facility.
