Family sending photos to incarcerated loved one

Distance shouldn't break a family connection

Kansas has over 8,500 people in state custody, spread across eight facilities from Norton in the northwest to El Dorado in the south. For families already managing work, kids, and distance sending a postcard or letter used to mean a trip to the post office and guessing at the right address. Flikshop eliminates all of it. You pick the photo, write the message, and we take care of the rest.

Kansas facilities photocopy all incoming personal mail and hand deliver the copies to residents. That means your Flikshop arrives as a real, physical copy your loved one can hold and keep not just a digital image on a screen. The connection is tangible. That still matters.

Flikshop is approved by the  Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC)

Real Photos. Real Connections.

Flikshop Postcards
Built for Kansas Families

Kansas facilities photocopy all incoming personal mail before delivering it to residents. Your loved one holds the physical copy. A real piece of paper with your face and your words. Flikshop prints at high resolution, high contrast, specifically to reproduce as clearly as possible through the copying process.

Kansas photocopies in black and white. Your photo arrives as a B&W copy but the faces, the people, the expressions are still right there. We optimize every print for photocopy readability so the copy your loved one receives is sharp and recognizable, not washed out or blurry.

Kansas accepts both postcards and photographs in letters so you can send a Flikshop Postcard, a Flikshop Letter with an enclosed photo, or both. KDOC requires your loved one's registration number on every piece of mail.

KNOW THE RULES

Our postcards are delivered to thousands of facilities nationwide

Please understand the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) Mail Policy Rules. Here's what families need to know — and how Flikshop is already designed to meet every requirement.

Kansas' Department of Corrections  facilities photocopy all incoming personal mail — both the envelope and its contents — and hand-deliver the physical copies to residents. Originals are retained by the facility. Your loved one receives a real paper copy they can hold and keep. KDOC confirmed: "We do not scan mail. We photocopy mail and give the copied paper to the resident." Flikshop prints at high contrast for the best possible photocopy quality. Full KDOC mail policy at doc.ks.gov.

  • Photos and letters are welcome. Kansas facilities accept personal letters and photographs. Photos must be appropriate and free of nudity, gang-related imagery, or other prohibited content. Flikshop reviews images before printing to help prevent delivery issues.

  • Personal mail is photocopied. Incoming personal mail is photocopied before being delivered. Flikshop uses high-contrast printing to help your photos and messages remain clear after photocopying.

  • Include the KDOC registration number. Be sure to include your loved one's full name and KDOC registration number. Flikshop formats every Kansas order correctly during checkout.

  • Mail is sent directly to the facility. Kansas does not use a centralized mail processing center for personal mail. Flikshop automatically sends your order to the correct correctional facility.

  • No prohibited enclosures. Do not include cash, stamps, stickers, or other prohibited items. Flikshop postcards are produced to meet Kansas mailing requirements.

  • Keep your content appropriate. Photos or messages containing explicit material, gang-related content, threats, or other prohibited content may be rejected. Flikshop reviews content before printing to help reduce delivery issues.

  • Books and magazines follow different rules. Books and magazines generally must be sent directly from an approved publisher or retailer and are processed separately from personal mail.

  • Why families choose Flikshop? Every Kansas order is prepared to meet KDOC mailing requirements with properly formatted addresses, compliant printing, and high-quality photos making it easy to stay connected with your loved one. If your postcard doesn't arrive, we'll resend it at no additional cost.

County jail mail rules in Kansas vary by facility. Many county jails use their own scanning systems and have different addresses. Always confirm your specific county jail's current mail rules before sending. Questions? Email info@flikshop.com.
