Flikshop Postcards are specifically designed to comply with the Florida Department of Corrections postcard mail policy. Each postcard includes a pre-printed metered stamp (no adhesive stamps that could be flagged) and passes through Flikshop's own security scanning for content compliance before we print and ship.

Please understand the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Mail Policy Rules. Florida has implemented electronic mail processing. Knowing these rules ensures your postcard reaches your loved one.
The Florida Department of Corrections transitioned all 128 state facilities to electronic mail processing beginning in 2022. All routine incoming mail is scanned at a central processing facility and delivered electronically to residents via tablets or kiosks. Physical postcards sent through approved vendors like Flikshop are processed under this system. Flikshop handles the proper addressing automatically. Florida facilities process postcards through the mail system. Postcards must be no larger than 4.25" x 6" and must include the resident’s committed name, DC number, and institution address. Flikshop formats every postcard to match these requirements.

All routine mail sent to Florida Department of Corrections facilities is routed through a central processing center in Tampa, Florida, where mail is scanned and delivered electronically. Residents typically view mail on tablets or kiosks. Flikshop automatically sends mail to the correct processing address.

Stickers, labels, and non-postage adhesive stamps are prohibited. Flikshop Postcards use a pre-printed metered stamp, helping reduce rejection risks.

Mail containing nudity, sexual content, gang-related imagery, weapons, escape plans, or drug-related instructions may be rejected. Flikshop automatically scans postcards before printing to help identify prohibited content.

All mail must include the resident’s full committed name, DC number, and current institution address. Missing information may cause mail to be returned or rejected. Flikshop helps prompt users to enter the correct information during checkout.

If mail is rejected, both the sender and resident may receive a notification from the Florida Department of Corrections. If a Flikshop postcard is returned, Flikshop may provide a resend or account credit depending on the situation.

Legal mail and privileged mail should NOT be sent through the electronic mail system and must be mailed directly to the institution following Florida Department of Corrections guidelines.
